This Sunday is Mother's Day!! And I know how hard it is to get gifts in time. Here is a memorable solution for a card that truly commemorates the holiday in this day and age. One of my wonderful friends in the Craft and Hobby Industry, designed this adorable printable for kids and families during the quarantine. It's a free printable. You can either go to Lindsey's Facebook Page and directly get your printable. She has provided so much love during the pandemic with her beautiful artwork. And is giving daily joy with FREE coloring pages. You will fall in love with her style and whimsy. She is also known as the Creator of Cuteness. For those of you who may be local, do you remember the Paper Rabbit in San Marino on Huntington Drive? That was Lindsey's store! I grew up going to the Paper Rabbit. And I know some of my earliest art influence came from Lindsey herself. She continues to inspire me today. I hope you enjoy this printable, and some of the cards we made today.

Here is a list of supplies you will need.

1. Print your printable out on what ever paper you have on hand. It prints 4 card fronts to a page.

2. Coloring pencils, gel pens, markers, crayons, watercolors, or any other media you have on hand.

3. Cardstock or construction paper. Or if you don't have any, you can attach it to any paper you do have.

4. Scissors or a paper trimmer.

5. Glitter or glitter pens for accents.

6. Anything you would like to add to embellish. Stickers, flowers, ribbons etc.....

Some simple tips for card making are as follows.

With one sheet of 8 1/2 X 11 yardstick or construction paper, you can yield two card bases by cutting in half. You can cut horizontal or vertical for different looks.

Trim the edges of one side with decorative scissors for a unique look.

Round the corners with a corner rounder punch or you can cut it by hand.

Mount your image on coordinating colored paper, or try layering it for different looks.

Experiment coloring with what you have on hand. Even if you have never tried those colored pencils or gel pens. Try them now! It will be fun.

Each card will be unique and from the heart. Here are a few of ours.

I hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day! Be grateful for those you love. You can always make more cards on Sunday as a family and mail them next week, or deliver to the front porch. Your time, will be loved and treasured. I wanted to let you know I truly am grateful for ALL of you!! Thank you all for reading, trying our recipes, crafts and activities. And sharing our articles and posts. It has been a struggle to adapt to the new temporary normal. I know it's not easy where we all are right now, but I know someday down the road, we will be able to share events, reviews and fun places to go. Especially our events and giveaways. Thank you for standing by us during this time. We appreciate the support and love. Happy Mother's Day to ALL of my Mac Kid Subscribers!! Love to you all from my house to yours.
