This Veterans Day, the Cat Cafe Lounge is hosting an event for young readers to come and read to the kitties. This is a fundraising event and is geared toward 6-8 year old children (Grade Levels 1-2) that would offer young learning readers the experience and fun of reading to the Cat Cafe kitties! This is seriously the cutest story time EVER!!! Cats and books!! Yes please!!  They will supply the book, it’s called “Where Did You Come From” and each youngster will get a copy, for free, to read to the kitties and take home. The book is so cute, its a whimsical showcase of a variety of situations in which a rescue cat may have lived. From the crowded streets of a big city, or from the hustle and bustle of a rainy street, and then eventually to a loving furever home. The book will take 15 or so minutes to read, so to continue the fun we encourage readers to bring their own books as well. Included in the admission contribution, $35, They will also have a coloring activity with the kitties!

This is going to be a super cute and fun activity for kids and parents. It’s also a way of helping socialize our kitties and of course giving back to a nonprofit. If you have ever wondered how you can get involved in helping shelter cats OR teaching your children about the importance of adoption, this is the PURR-FECT event for you!!!

This is an amazing non-profit that does SO much for felines. Cats are a part of me, and my family. We hope you take a drive to the Cat Cafe Lounge and participate this Veteran's Day.

Here is some info off of the Cat Cafe website to give you an overview of what they do!

CatCafe Lounge is the first local nonprofit Cat Cafe in Los Angeles serving fresh brewed coffee, tea, and snacks!

What the heck is a Cat Cafe?
Made popular in Asia - a Cat Cafe is a space where you can socialize with adoptable cats while kicking back and relaxing with a beverage.

Why?
Cats are private and territorial beings by nature - the current adoption process requires either moving cats to and from adoption sites or trying to "get to know" your potential furbaby through the bars of a cage.
These environments make cats scared and reserved and doesn't allow them to show their true colors.

CatCafe Lounge is creating an environment which allows cats to be comfortable and relaxed, enabling them and their potential adopter to make a lasting connection.

Cat Cafe Lounge is located at
